Mexico finished the group stage of the 2026 World Cup with a perfect record, thanks to another victory, their third in this tournament, beating the Czech Republic with a score of 3-0. The goals were scored by Chávez García, Quiñones and Fidalgo. Santi Gimenez got more playing time, taking over from Martínez in the 63rd minute when Mexico was already leading 2-0. The team led by coach Javier Aguirre will return to the field in the round of 16. Switzerland also picked up a win, beating Canada 2-1 to secure first place in their group. Ardon Jashari remained on the bench for the entire match.
