Egyptian defender Mohamed Hany wrote a page of negative history at the World Cup, scoring his second own goal in the competition. Hany, in fact, scored in the round of 16 match against Australia, which ended 1-1. The defender had already scored an own goal in the group match against Belgium. Hany's own goal was the first goal scored by Australia in the tournament, as the Socceroos had not scored in over four hours of play.
