I love football so much. This is how Eden Hazard's interview with DAZN BE begins, struggling with a golf club in a life where he no longer knows so much about football, at least on the pitch. The Belgian star left an indelible mark at Chelsea and in the Premier League (85 goals and 57 assists), as well as with the Red Devils national team (over 130 appearances and 33 goals), it's a shame that his move to Real Madrid was the decisive step in his progressive disappearance from the pitch, until his retirement in October 2023.

At the base of the chat Hazard explained what doesn't drive him so crazy about modern football: "But now we do things in training where I say to myself: 'Come on...'. Especially with Conte, with the tactical part", the first connection that came to mind to the 35-year-old Belgian. "With José Mourinho it was ok. The training sessions were magnificent. The same with Zidane", the memory of the former footballer, who wore the white jersey from 2019 until his retirement.

Hazard clearly focused on Zizou's work, leaving no room for doubt: "Zidane's training sessions. You just play (laughs, ed.). Five minutes of tactics. 'Do you want to do tactics? Ok... finished. Let's play", the story given to Jhon Terry, former Chelsea star and special interviewer this time. "You know me, in training, I'm like a little child. An hour of tactics and I say to myself: 'Oh no, again?'".

“This is why Eden will become a top coach,” quipped the former Blues and England defender. "No chance", Hazard's terse response. The imaginative Belgian, now 35 years old, worked for two years under the dictates of Antonio Conte at Chelsea, winning the Premier League and FA Cup between 2016 and 2018. But evidently the training sessions organized by the Lecce coach didn't drive Hazard crazy. On the contrary, however, he loved his period of splendor with Zidane on the bench at Real: little tactics, lots of ball.
