Nottingham Forest are looking for a replacement for Elliot Anderson, who has moved to Manchester City. The hot name for the midfield is that of Lucas Bergvall, a young Tottenham player who is looking for more minutes on the pitch after Sweden's exit at the World Cup. Last summer for Nottingham Forest was, in some respects, very simple: it was a matter of replacing key players. And one of these was Elliot Anderson, who with his performances guaranteed balance and dynamism to the midfield. With his move to Manchester City for 116 million euros, the club now needs to find a replacement who can fill that role. Among the names being explored is that of Lucas Bergvall, Tottenham midfielder, whose future appears uncertain. Bergvall, born in 2003, needs more space on the pitch, but Spurs are reluctant to sell him. Aston Villa, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are also after him, but Nottingham Forest's need is more urgent. After Sweden's World Cup exit to France, Bergvall said: "My priority is to play consistently. That's my only goal. We'll see what happens in the future, until now I've only been focused on the World Cup." Nottingham Forest could guarantee Bergvall just the playing time he needs. In fact, in the Reds' midfield there are spaces and responsibilities to fill, and the club needs a player who can also grow in the role. Tottenham, however, seems to be resisting Nottingham Forest's advances: it seems that the London club has communicated to Bergvall that he is not for sale, despite there having been signs of openness from the player towards a transfer that would guarantee him more minutes on the pitch. The situation for the Swedish midfielder is complicated: in London his role has become even more crowded after the arrival of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, and since the arrival of De Zerbi as coach, Bergvall's minutes on the bench have increased: in fact, he has only collected 112 minutes in total in the matches played.
