Rafa Leao wants to leave Milan and has been saying it clearly for days now. In the interview granted in the last few hours in Portugal, the Rossoneri striker reiterated the need to undertake a new challenge. "I need a new challenge. I have already won two trophies in Italy and I have been there for a while. It is a championship that is evolving, but for my football a Premier League or a Spanish La Liga would enhance my talent and me as a player more. If the opportunity of the Premier League were to arrive, I would be very happy: I think I would be able to compare my talent with players who are at a very high level", declared the Portuguese, author of 10 goals and 3 assists in 31 appearances this year. Leao also took stock of the Devil's flop season: "It was a difficult season. We didn't get to the Champions League. I played injured for 4-5 months with a groin, in a position that isn't mine. The tactical system didn't help me. I felt I could make a difference, but the way the team played didn't put me in a position to do it. In the end it becomes exhausting." Then, a specific one on his favorite role: "As a winger, after dribbling, I have more time to think whether to shoot, dribble again or cross. But playing as a second striker I'm closer to the goal and I have to be more concrete: either you assist or you shoot. It's a detail I have to work on. In the end, football today is based on numbers, and it's the last step that I'm missing. Am I predictable on the wing? The teams have adapted. When the ball reaches the winger, two or three defenders already arrive. Changing from the wing to second striker, or in the central areas, I get close to the goal two or three times during the match and then come back open. This makes my game more unpredictable."
