Phil Foden at risk of being excluded from the World Cup squad
Phil Foden's situation is critical ahead of the World Cup, as Arsenal advance in the Women's Champions League and Chelsea report record losses.
Barcelona have had a difficult history in head-to-head matches after being eliminated from the Champions League, with several defeats against Real Madrid at critical moments.

After a success in the Champions League, the Blaugrana have played five Clásicos with three defeats, one draw and one victory. Since the 1992-93 season, in which the European Cup changed its name to the Champions League, on five occasions Barcelona have found themselves having to face Real Madrid after a failure in Europe. And in almost all cases, the result was in favor of the Blancos. It remains to be seen whether this time too the Madrid team will be able to take advantage of their opponents' not-so-brilliant moment. The first precedent is dated 18 October 2006 and refers to the Champions League group stage. The clubs, with Rijkaard on the bench and Laporta as president, played in England against Chelsea, losing 1-0. Four days later, the Clásico was played and in that case the points went to the Bernabéu, thanks to a goal from Raúl after 2 minutes and one from Van Nistelrooy. The second precedent dates back to 2012. Even then Chelsea ousted Barcelona from the semi-finals, but in this case the Blaugrana lost the first leg at Stamford Bridge. The return, however, was a fiasco for the culés, who were beaten at home by Real Madrid 2-1. Even in the Camp Nou, Barcelona would have suffered a heavy defeat, because Real Madrid would have practically got their hands on La Liga in that round. Finally, the last precedent dates back to last season. PSG beat Barcelona 4-1 at home in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, after the club had won 1-0 in France. Four days later the Clásico was played, with Barcelona trying to stay in the fight for La Liga, but Real Madrid won that match too, this time 3-2, trailing their rivals by 11 points in the standings in mid-April.
