Norway's doctor has confirmed all players are healthy ahead of their World Cup quarter-final against England, quashing rumors a virus has hit the squad.

Dr Ola Sand dismissed the concerns, saying the team is fully fit. "All the players are healthy now," Sand told a Norwegian media outlet. "Not very confusing considering we've been together for almost six weeks. It's great that they believe these rumors about the virus. We're under control."
Concerns first emerged after coach Stale Solbakken spoke about the health of players such as Marcus Pedersen and Jorgen Strand Larsen, who had shown signs of illness after the match against Brazil. Solbakken had described the physical fatigue of long journeys across the United States.

"We only had Jorgen who had a fever. But there were also some coughs and scattered discomfort. But there is air conditioning, flights, changing rooms and everything. We are over 50 people, so it would be strange if someone didn't have problems," Solbakken explained.
In addition to Norway's health, both teams are preparing to face extreme weather conditions during Saturday's match. Forecasts call for temperatures to reach 35 degrees Celsius in Miami, presenting a performance challenge. Additionally, there is a risk of isolated thunderstorms that could interrupt the match.
England, under the leadership of Thomas Tuchel, have already experienced weather complications, having experienced a delay in kick-off against Mexico due to lightning. The English team also had to deal with the heat during their 2-1 win against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
With Reece James and Jordan Henderson dealing with injuries, England must carefully manage their fitness against a Norway side heavily reliant on Erling Haaland. As we approach Saturday, both nations face a challenging race to ensure their key players are fully fit for this historic World Cup quarter-final. England will aim to maintain their momentum under Tuchel and move closer to the trophy, while Norway will look to overcome travel fatigue to pull off another major coup in Miami.
