This means that Canada's most successful campaign in World Cup history ends here, in a tournament in which they achieved their first point, their first win, progress to the group stage and a success in the round of 16.
Morocco will now face either Paraguay or France, who will compete later on Saturday, in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Canada reached the round of 16 of the World Cup for the first time, beating South Africa 1-0. Jesse Marsch's team will face the winner between Morocco and the Netherlands.
