Andoni Iraola is arriving at Liverpool as their new manager, replacing Arne Slot. The Spaniard will offer a new chance to all the players in the squad, allowing a fresh start to those who were on the fringes of the team. Harvey Elliott, for example, could return to prominence after a period of obscurity, while there will be further opportunities for other youngsters such as James McConnell and Trey Nyoni to shine. Among these, Stefan Bajcetic was also expected to see. The 21-year-old hasn't played for Liverpool's first team for over two years, due to loans and injuries. The Spain under-21 international is finally ready for his summer training camp, an advantage given that many contenders for a place in the squad will be absent for the FIFA World Cup. However, Bajcetic, who was signed from Celta Vigo in 2020, is now linked with a possible departure. David Lynch claims the midfielder has simply missed too much game time and will not participate in first team activities. "I think with Stefan, a loan or permanent transfer is likely this summer," he said. "I think a permanent transfer is on the table, precisely because he has missed so much football. I don't think Liverpool think he can get to where they want him to be. But it could also be that, if there isn't enough interest in a permanent transfer, they allow him to go out on loan to create a market for him, which they can then cash in on later. I don't expect him to be involved with the first team."
