A curious episode for the Roja. Spanish center forward Borja Iglesias was not recognized by security at Spain's training center and was initially unable to enter. The Celta Vigo striker, in fact, showed up at the sports center after coach Luis de la Fuente had granted the players a day of rest. But at the entrance he encountered an unexpected event: the bouncers did not recognize him and denied him access. According to what some Spanish media reported, Iglesias attempted to explain who he was: "I'm Borja Iglesias, player for Spain. I have to come in." Some fans who were there also tried to convince the security that it was really a national team player, but without success. Only after Iglesias contacted some members of the Spanish Federation was he finally allowed to enter the training center and reunite with his teammates. Spain started the World Cup with a 0-0 draw against Cape Verde. They will face Saudi Arabia on Sunday and Uruguay on Tuesday.
