According to a recent report from TyC Sports, Tottenham Hotspur are closely following Olympique Marseille goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli with a view to a possible transfer this summer. It has been said that Spurs are considering securing the Argentine goalkeeper's performances in this summer transfer window. Rulli has had a good season with the French club, showing a number of impressive performances in Ligue 1. Last campaign, the 34-year-old conceded 52 goals and kept nine clean sheets in 39 appearances for Marseille in all competitions. The Argentine talent is currently among the most experienced goalkeepers in Ligue 1, so Spurs could do well to convince him to move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this off-season. His contract with the French club expires at the end of next season, which could open the door for Tottenham to sign him for an affordable price later this year. Rulli is a good ball handler and can use his quick reflexes to make decisive interventions. He doesn't hesitate to clear his area when chased by opposing attackers and is also a good passer from the back. At 1.89 m tall, the Argentine talent can use his robust physique to dominate his penalty area. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition into Premier League life if Spurs manage to bring him on board in this transfer market. Rulli would bring more quality and depth to Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi's defence. He has what it takes to fight for a starting place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season. At 34, Rulli is past his prime, but could still prove a useful player in the North London club's squad. Therefore, De Zerbi would be wise to bet everything on him later this year. However, De Zerbi needs to be patient with his progress before he can get the best out of the experienced goalkeeper at Tottenham.
