In the press conference, ahead of the match against Panama, Petar Sucic preferred to keep the focus on the present and the World Cup rather than dredging up sweet memories for a moment. However, completing the explanation of his rapid adaptation to Milan and Inter during his first season with the Nerazzurri and in Serie A: "Adapting has never been a problem for me, and I have changed environments several times. You always want more, you want to improve and you have to be ready when the opportunity arrives." He accumulated 50 appearances, 4 goals and as many assists in all the competitions played this season with the Inter shirt, managing to win the Scudetto and also lift the Italian Cup into the sky at the end of the season. While now he is living the dream of the World Cup, in the company - among others - of Luka Modric, at 40 years old the compass of midfield and of Croatia as a whole. Among other things, the Milan player - who is about to expire, however - will reach the milestone of his 200th appearance with the Vatreni: "It's difficult to reach that level, and it's even more difficult to stay there. Just imagine what he did, maintaining that level for so long and reaching 200 appearances". Sucic, in conclusion, analyzed the differences between the club and the national team: "There is a difference, especially when you play abroad: you are a foreigner. With the national team you are among your own people and you spend the whole day together with the others. At the club you finish training and go home. Here we play ping-pong, darts, video games, we watch matches together. This is how stronger relationships and bonds are built, and it is easier to create a good atmosphere than in a club."
