During the interview, Beyani also discussed the controversies related to alleged complaints from other clubs regarding Asani's presence on the pitch and Esteglal's claim to last season's trophy. The former footballer stated that Asani is a player of high quality both from a technical and character point of view, and that his presence could lead Esteglal to achieve important goals in Asia.
"Yasser is an exceptional footballer. Everyone is aware of his abilities both on the pitch and as a person. It is sad to see that our rivals are raising such issues," Beyani said. He continued by stating that there are no problems for Asani: "If there had been problems, Esteglal would not have fielded him. It is not correct for an opposing club to raise such issues or influence foreign teams to prevent their participation. Esteglal's matches in Asia, both at club and national level, must be respected."
Beyani also touched on the issue of past conflict between Esteglal fans and Isa Al-Kathir, saying that the current situation is not comparable to the one back then. He explained that when Al-Kathir was signed, neither the fans nor the Esteglal management were in favor of such a transfer, and that this led to discontent.
Finally, Beyani concluded with a plea for Esteglal to sign a long-term contract with Asani, stressing that the player wishes to stay in Iran and that his quality can make the difference. "If Esteglal could sign two or three players like Asani, I'm sure they would win the title of Asian champions," he said with conviction.
Elsewhere in the interview, Beyani insisted that last season's trophy should be awarded to Esteglal, as the club beat its direct rivals. "When you beat teams like Persepolis, Sepahan and Tractor, it's not just about three points, but about six. Esteglal could definitely have won the championship if the tournament had continued."

Esteglal could start negotiations for a long-term contract with Yasser Asani, following Beyani's advice.
