Manchester City midfielder, Rodri, commented on the recent statements of Enrique Riquelme, candidate for president of Real Madrid, who promised to buy him if he were to win the elections. "I don't know where this idea came from! I understand that it's part of the game. I haven't even thought about my future. My attention is on the World Cup. I have a contract with Manchester City," said Rodri, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano on El Larguero through his social media profile. Interestingly, Riquelme also promised to bring Manchester City striker Erling Haaland to Madrid if he triumphs in the presidential elections, which took place on June 7, defeating outgoing president Florentino Pérez.
