Riquelme promises that Rodrygo will stay at Real Madrid

Enrique Riquelme, Real Madrid's presidential candidate, has promised that Rodrygo will stay at the club and distanced himself from José Mourinho as a possible manager.

During his participation in El Hormiguero, Enrique Riquelme launched two other messages destined to make the Real Madrid world discuss just a few days before the presidential elections. The candidate to lead the Blancos has in fact distanced himself from the choice of José Mourinho, indicated by Florentino Pérez as the future coach in the event of victory. "He is not the coach we have in mind for our project," Riquelme explained, adding that his staff would be ready to reveal the name of the coach within 48 hours. An announcement that, according to him, would be welcomed by the majority of Madrid fans. The position on Rodrygo, one of the most talked about players on the market in recent weeks, is equally clear. The Brazilian has been insistently linked to Manchester City, but Riquelme seems to have no doubts about his future: "With all due respect to City, if I am president Rodrygo will play for Real Madrid".
