Real Madrid are unlikely to sign Bayern Munich striker Michael Olise this summer. Madrid had made Olise their main target and were willing to offer 220 million euros for him. However, Bayern are not willing to sell the French international. They have now shifted their attention towards Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, AS reported. Los Blancos made Fernandez a main target for the midfield, moving past Ayyoub Bouaddi, Felix Nmecha and Mateus Fernandes. They believe he has more experience at the top level than other options and is better suited to the club. Manager Jose Mourinho admires the Chelsea star for his defensive and leadership qualities. Fernandez is open to joining Madrid. In the past, he has made comments suggesting he wants to join the Spanish giants, which led to a two-match suspension last season. Chelsea are keen to keep the former Benfica star, with manager Xabi Alonso keen to work with him. However, they could listen to offers above 100 million euros for him. They are in a very strong position, with Fernandez having six years left on his contract. Madrid want to make a high-profile sale in midfield before stepping up their interest in Fernandez. They are willing to consider offers for Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, both linked to Manchester United. Madrid are expected to sell just one of their two French midfielders to finance a transfer for Fernandez. The 25-year-old would be part of Los Blancos' new midfield alongside Bernardo Silva, who is expected to join on a free transfer from Manchester City at the end of the month.
