Brazilian national team winger Rafinha will not be available for his country's match against Scotland in the third round of group C at the 2026 World Cup on June 25, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano on social media. Rafinha suffered a muscle injury to his right quadriceps, confirmed by tests carried out by the Brazilian team. The player will undergo intensive treatment, while remaining available to the national team during the tournament, with the aim of recovering for the subsequent stages of the competition. Rafinha was replaced in the 40th minute of the match against Haiti (which ended 3-0) due to the physical problem: before the substitution, the player collapsed to the ground, requiring the intervention of the medical staff. The 2026 World Cup will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The current world champion is Argentina, who triumphed in the 2022 final against France after a match that ended 3-3, then won on penalties.
