Milan have already started contacts with the current sporting director of Fenerbahçe Devin Ozek, but there are three other options on the table, including that of Jovan Kirovski, executive of Milan Futuro. The Rossoneri are still working to rebuild the club's management following the dismissals of Igli Tare, Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada at the end of last season. The main candidate for the role of sporting director was Ralf Rangnick, but the Austrian coach demanded to have full control of the project, including the choice of new coaches and directors, and Milan were not willing to grant him such a level of authority. According to what reported by Tuttosport, Zlatan Ibrahimovic would have supported Kirovski's promotion from Milan Futuro to the first team as the new sporting director. Devin Ozek would also have met twice with Gerry Cardinale and Ibrahimovic, while Ramon Planes, who just left Al Ittihad, and Markus Krösche from Eintracht Frankfurt are also being considered for the role. As for the bench, the names of Matthias Jaissle and Ruben Amorim have gained ground in the last few hours, while Milan has yet to give a definitive answer to former Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner, who had accepted a two-year contract with the Rossoneri.
