Sweden had a terrible dress rehearsal ahead of the World Cup, drawing 2-2 against Greece in yesterday's friendly which was supposed to be a welcome test for the team. Graham Potter's team were expected to play an easy match after the 3-1 defeat against Norway last week, which had raised many doubts about the real condition of the team. But even against Greece, the Swedish players were slow to get going and went behind after just 10 minutes due to a goal by Kostas Tsimikas. The two attackers Gyökeres and Isak were unable to make the right contribution and Sweden risked conceding the second goal, hitting another Greek player, Dimitris Kourbelis, against the crossbar. At the start of the second half, however, Sweden managed to equalize thanks to a lucky goal from Viktor Gyökeres. After the 1-1 goal, however, there were many changes on both sides, as many as 10 for each team. And among the new arrivals there was also Gustaff Nilsson, who found the goal to make it 2-1 for Sweden. But even in this case the Swedish joy did not last long, because in the 96th minute Greece found the 2-2 goal with Giorgos Masouras. A truly bitter ending for Sweden, who now fly to the United States with low morale. Sweden will make their World Cup debut on 15 June against Tunisia, will play against the Netherlands on 20 June and will close the group stage on 26 June against Japan.
