Pogba, the future hangs in the balance: Monaco are considering a transfer already in
Paul Pogba's future at Monaco is uncertain and, as general director Thiago Scuro stated, the possibility of a sale is real. Pogba, world champion in 2018, is still linked to the club for another season, but his limited use in the last season has raised questions about his continued existence.

Interviewed about the player's situation, Scuro explained that Pogba's fate will depend on his summer preparation and the role that the new coach, Filipe Luis, decides to assign to him. "We have great respect for Paul as a person. When he arrived he was very positive and helped the young people in the team. But the truth is that the project with him did not work as we hoped last season. The initial expectations were very different," Scuro said in a press conference.

Monaco also has an obligation to contain costs due to a salary cap imposed by the DNCG. This situation means that several changes are expected in the squad, and Pogba could be among the players involved. Scuro clarified that in-depth evaluations will be carried out during the summer to understand the physical and technical level of the midfielder.

"I think it's right to evaluate his preparation week after week. Then the coach will decide whether to give him space or not. We have the whole summer to understand what Paul's level will be," continued the general director.

Scuro did not rule out a possible transfer: "Could he leave? Yes, of course. If at a certain point the player's objectives and those of the club no longer coincide, a solution will have to be found. The performances will give all the answers we need. He could leave, but he could also stay."

In addition, the general manager mentioned that Eric Dier is also among the players who could leave Monaco. "We have already spoken with him and his agents. Our objective is always to find the best solution for Monaco. When it is necessary to reduce the wage bill, it is inevitable that the players with the highest salaries become the subject of evaluations."

So, as Monaco prepare for a season of change, all attention is on Paul Pogba and his possible departure, which could happen if conditions do not suit either the club or the player himself.
