Dani Olmo reassures that Barcelona are not worried about Real Madrid's recent signings, highlighting their own valuable additions and recent successes.

Dani Olmo has claimed that Barcelona are "not worried" about Real Madrid's transfer activity this summer. The Blaugrana claimed their second consecutive La Liga title under Flick last season, finishing eight points clear of their Clasico rivals. The Catalan side sealed the title with a 2-0 win over Madrid at Camp Nou in May, with Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres on target. However, Los Blancos responded decisively during the off-season, replacing Alvaro Arbeloa with José Mourinho and completing three important additions to their squad. Marc Cucurella was signed for a reported €60 million from Chelsea, while Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konate also completed their moves to the Santiago Bernabeu as free agents this week. Madrid have also had a €150 million bid rejected for talented Atletico Madrid player Julian Alvarez, who has also been linked with Barcelona. However, Barcelona have added Englishman Anthony Gordon to their squad, and Olmo believes there is no need to worry about their rivals. "It's normal that after two years without victories they get stronger, they are world-class players, but we're not worried," Olmo told Sport. "We have made a great purchase with Gordon and we are happy." Both Olmo and Cucurella are currently with the Spanish national team at the World Cup, with the latter's move to Madrid announced ahead of their opening match. Olmo revealed that the left-back did not share the news of his transfer with them, but wished them the best in their new domestic rivalry. "We didn't expect it. He kept everything to himself," Olmo added. "If that's what he wanted, I'm happy for him because he's my friend. Now he'll have to suffer in the championship and so will we. He'll have to face Lamine [Yamal], for example!"
