Belgium and Iran compete in the second group match at the 2026 World Cup.
Brazil and Morocco advance to the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, with Brazil leading the group thanks to a better goal difference.
Group C of the 2026 World Cup respected the predictions, promoting Brazil and Morocco to the round of 32. The two national teams finished tied on seven points, but Brazil took first place thanks to a better goal difference, the result of seven goals scored and only one conceded. The path of the two qualifiers was almost identical. After a 1-1 draw in their debut match, both Brazil and Morocco overcame Scotland and Haiti without any particular difficulty, finishing the group stage undefeated. What made the difference was the greater margin of victory obtained by the green and gold team, which was decisive for the top of the group. Scotland, however, stops in third place. After the convincing initial success against Haiti, the British team was unable to continue their results, losing against Morocco and Brazil without finding the way to the net. Even more complicated is Haiti's path, last with zero points after three defeats, with just two goals scored and eight conceded, numbers which sealed an early elimination from the tournament.
GROUP C RANKING Brazil: 7 points (3 games played, 7 goals scored, 1 goal conceded) Morocco: 7 points (3 games played; 6 goals scored, 3 goals conceded) Scotland: 3 points (3 games played; 1 goal scored, 4 goals conceded) Haiti: 0 points (3 games played; 2 goals scored; 8 goals conceded)
