-
Argentina - Serbia e Montenegro 6-0 (16 giugno 2006)
Argentina - Brazil 4-3 (9 June 2012)
In 2012 Messi had his most prolific year, scoring 91 goals (a record). Among these there were also two hat-tricks with the national team, one against Switzerland and the other against Brazil. The match against the green and gold is considered a true "masterclass" for Messi, who scored three goals on that occasion. The third goal, in particular, is considered one of the best of Messi's career: he started from the flank, beat two defenders and kicked into the net from outside the area, hitting the top corner. "Up until that moment it had been said that Messi, wearing the Argentina shirt, was not the same player as he was wearing the Barcelona shirt. After that match against Brazil, however, everyone had to change their minds", comments Ramon Min.

Argentina - Brazil 1-0 (10 July 2021)
In this match Messi did not score or provide any assists, but it will always be a special match for him. This is the 2021 Copa America final, won by Argentina at the Maracanã stadium, in Brazil. "This match is special for Messi because it allowed him to win his first trophy with the senior national team, after losing four previously," explains his statistician. -
Argentina - Francia 3-3 (18 dicembre 2022)
Argentina - Austria 2-0 (22 June 2026)
The match that closes the list of Messi's memorable matches is the round of 16 match of the 2026 World Cup against Austria, which Argentina won 2-0. In this match Messi scored two goals, which allowed him to become the best scorer of all time at the World Cup, surpassing the German Miroslav Klose.
