Carnevali's arrival can help Juventus sign Martinez from Aston Villa
Juventus are stepping up efforts to sign Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, with new director Giovanni Carnevali prioritizing the transfer and facilitating negotiations.
Sky Sport Italia reports that new Juventus director Giovanni Carnevali continues to consider Emiliano Martinez as the priority target for the goal, so the Bianconeri will continue to push for the Argentine, who is already looking for a home in Turin. Juventus continues its pursuit of Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez even after the resignation of Damien Comolli and the appointment of Carnevali as General Director and CEO. According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, goalkeeper Martinez remains Juventus' main target for the goal, even with Carnevali at the helm. The new Juventus director is aware that coach Luciano Spalletti wants an experienced goalkeeper and Carnevali's appointment could even facilitate negotiations. In fact, the Italian director has excellent relationships with Martinez's agents, who are the same as Nemanja Matic, the player who Carnevali brought to Sassuolo last summer. Juventus has already reached a principle agreement with Martinez and is now in negotiations with Aston Villa.
