Juventus is targeting Djed Spence in the event of Cambiaso's departure
Juventus targets Djed Spence if Cambiaso leaves the team.
According to what was reported in Italy, Juventus would have targeted Tottenham full-back Djed Spence in the event of the sale of Andrea Cambiaso during the summer transfer window. The Juventus sporting director Marco Ottolini could be decisive for this negotiation. Despite the disappointing conclusion to the 2025-26 season, which saw Juventus out of the Champions League, the club aims to strengthen the team for next season, entrusted to Luciano Spalletti. The names of Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, striker Alexander Sorloth and Brahim Diaz are mentioned, with the addition perhaps of Randal Kolo Muani. However, in order to purchase these players, Juventus will first have to sell some elements of the current squad. There is talk of a possible farewell of Gleison Bremer, who has a clause of 58 million in his contract, but also that of Cambiaso, as reported by several sources in recent weeks. According to SportMediaset, if Cambiaso were to leave, Juventus would need another full-back and have identified Spence as a potential replacement. Djed Spence is a footballer known by Marco Ottolini, who brought him to Serie A in January 2024, bringing him from Middlesbrough to play on loan at Genoa. Like Cambiaso, Spence is also capable of covering both flanks. Furthermore, he already knows our league and, given that Tottenham recently signed Andrew Robertson, while Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro are already in the squad, it is likely that there will be fewer playing opportunities for Spence next season.
