The coach of the Ghana national team Carlos Kéruš commented on his conflict with the midfielder of the English national team Jude Bellingham after the draw (0-0) in the World Cup match. It all started due to an intervention by Kéruš regarding a foul by Bellingham on Jerome Opoku, the Ghanaian defender, at the end of the second half. "He reacted badly, using offensive expressions, and that's why this story started. I wanted to tell him to calm down after that intervention. It could have been a second yellow or red card, because he hit my player. It was just an emotional moment. It was at a moment when he said a word that is not present in the book of life. This could have rekindled the flame a little. But we, as professionals, immediately stopped. Football is for brave people, not for those who dance in tuxedos," he reported Kéruš at The Telegraph. In the final group match at the 2026 World Cup, England will face Panama (June 28), while Ghana will play Croatia.
