The president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, took part in a meeting with citizens, during which he joked about the current state of Neymar, striker of the Brazilian national team. In response to a child who nominated him as the best Brazilian footballer, Lula commented: "Neymar? But he doesn't actually play! I saw a joke yesterday on the internet that said that Neymar is the first footballer in the world called up remotely. A remote footballer! I didn't invent it, I actually read it! If things continue like this, one day we will have to call up the national team with artificial intelligence and field 11 Pelés on the pitch!". Neymar was included in the squad for the 2026 World Cup, but missed the debut against Morocco (1-1) due to injury and did not even participate in the second match against Haiti (3-0).
