The defender of the German national team and Borussia Dortmund, Nico Schlotterbeck, is one of Real Madrid's transfer targets. Los Blancos are considering an offer for the player, with a termination clause of between 50 and 60 million euros. However, according to what journalist Ramon Alvarez de Vil reported on social media, an ankle injury suffered by the 26-year-old during the 2026 World Cup group stage match against Ivory Coast (won 2-1 by Germany) could put this potential transfer at risk. After the match, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann speculated that Schlotterbeck may have damage to the medial collateral ligament in his ankle.
