Millwall have made official the purchase of midfielder Jenson Metcalfe from Bradford City, marking their first signing of the summer season.
Championship side Millwall have announced the signing of midfielder Jenson Metcalfe from Bradford City for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old, who was shortlisted for League One's best player award last season, has signed a contract the Championship club describe as "long-term". "We've been following this for a few years," Millwall sporting director Steve Gallen said on the club's official website. “Jenson was a key player for Bradford last season and possesses a number of qualities which we believe can bring real value to the squad.” Metcalfe thus becomes Millwall's first summer signing, a team that reached the play-off semi-finals, and is a product of Everton's youth academy. He spent a loan spell at Chesterfield in the 2024-25 season before leaving Merseyside to complete a permanent move to Bradford last summer. Metcalfe made 49 appearances for Bradford last season in all competitions, contributing to the team's run to the League One play-offs.
