Sunderland manager Régis Le Bris is pleased with Brian Brobbey's development and performances in his first year in the Premier League. In an interview with Voetbal International, the 50-year-old Frenchman commented on the attacker's progress. "Brian needed a few weeks to adapt after arriving so late in the transfer window, which is completely normal. But from then on, he continued to improve steadily throughout the season," said Le Bris, nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Year award, which was later won by Mikel Arteta. "Brian's ability to act as a reference point, his determination and his presence in the penalty area have emerged more and more week after week. From mid-season onwards, he has really cemented his place as our main striker," continued the manager, who has brought Sunderland back to Europe after 53 years. "In general, it has been a very positive season for Brian," concluded Le Bris, "also because it shows that there is still a lot of room for improvement."
