The English media are reacting to Arne Slot's sacking from Liverpool, calling his departure 'inevitable' but also expressing displeasure at a manager who won the Premier League just a year ago. The reasons are linked to his game strategy, considered not in line with the fans' expectations and the evolution of the Premier League.

The English media went wild after Arne Slot was sacked by Liverpool, an event that came as no surprise to journalists. According to the BBC, it is "one of the most notable downfalls of a champion manager", considering that Slot was sacked a year after winning the Premier League with ease, in his first year as Jürgen Klopp's replacement.

Sky Sports reported that the decision was made with great reluctance, highlighting respect for what Slot has achieved and the way he handled the situation. However, his game plan was deemed a sticking point, with the idea being that another type of manager was needed to bring Liverpool back to the style of play their fans want.

The Guardian highlighted that the decision to sack Slot was also dictated by the need to adapt to changes in the Premier League, suggesting that Andoni Iraola could be his successor. Despite the difficulties faced by the team in competitions such as the FA Cup and Champions League, the newspaper highlighted Slot's disappointing defense of the title.

The Athletic noted that although there were extenuating circumstances, the lack of improvement towards the end of the season made his position untenable. Fan frustration made it risky to continue with Slot at the helm next season. Despite his success in his first season, the way his time with Liverpool ended left a sense of regret.
