Heracles Almelo has signed striker Jean-Paul N’Djoli from FC Wil, as his sixth acquisition for the new season.

Heracles Almelo is particularly active on the transfer market. The club, relegated last season, presented its sixth acquisition for next year on Friday: striker Jean-Paul N'Djoli. The 25-year-old Frenchman arrives from FC Wil, who play in the Swiss second division. He signed a two-year contract, with an option for a further two. N'Djoli comes from the youth sector of Evreux FC 27, where players such as Ousmane Dembélé and Dayot Upamecano also completed part of their training. "Jean-Paul is a striker who perfectly fits the profile we were looking for. With his skill, depth threat and development potential, he brings both immediate quality and prospects for the future," said technical director Ernest Faber, explaining the rationale for signing N'Djoli. The striker himself, after playing mainly in lower divisions in Spain and Switzerland, expressed enthusiasm: "The stadium and the facilities confirm my feeling that Heracles Almelo is the right step in my career. In recent years I have always had to adapt to a higher level and I have succeeded well. I have confidence in myself and I feel that God gives me extra strength." N'Djoli is the sixth signing since Heracles collaborated with data analysis company Jamestown Analytics. Previously, the club had secured the services of Mario Borac, Max Hauswirth, Maurice Wrusch and Manny Rodríguez, while the purchase option in Walid Ould-Chikh's loan deal was activated.
