Granada coach, José Rojo 'Pacheta', made some statements in a press conference to analyze the team's moment and to present tomorrow's match against Real Sociedad B.
Pacheta said:
"The analysis must be done taking into account that we have played very difficult matches and that the team has shown signs of evolution, even if the results do not accompany us. We must stick to the facts, the data and our self-confidence, which must be at its maximum to face this match tomorrow. It is a difficult match, against a team that plays well, that has a very clear game model and that knows what to do in every moment of the match. We must have patience, we must be very concentrated, we must be very competitive, because they are. And we must try to make the most of our weapons, our qualities to bring home the three points."
The Granada coach then continued talking about the growth of his team:
"It's true that we haven't achieved results in the last few games, but I've seen signs of evolution in the team, I've seen that there are players who are raising their level, who are adapting better to the game model and who are more involved. Now we need, for example, to give a little more continuity to our good moments within the matches, because there have been moments in the matches in which we played well, in which we had opportunities, but we lack a bit of continuity and above all we must improve in the competitive aspects, just as the team required of us Cup match last Thursday, which was a very, very competitive match. We need to raise that level a bit to be at the top of our game in the league matches and be able to win."
Pacheta finally spoke about the importance of obtaining results:
"Results are always important, football is made up of results and we have to start getting results. It's true that the other team, Real Sociedad B, are better at the moment, they have achieved more positive results, but we have to think about ourselves and we have to play a match thinking only of ourselves and try to get that result which would give us so much confidence and would also be good for us on a moral level."
What happens now
Granada will face Real Sociedad B in a match that could represent a turning point in the season. Pacheta expects his team to exploit their qualities to get the three points needed to end their losing run. The performance in this match will be crucial for the team's morale and their position in the Football table.
