I left the field with my head held high for the work we had done, but inside I was destroyed. We were so close... That night after the final was very hard, even the next morning. But then you come back to the Emirates, you see the fans with the Premier League trophy and you understand what you've achieved. This makes you smile", were Raya's words reported by the Guardian. The goalkeeper also revealed that he was unable to speak to his national teammate Fabian Ruiz, a member of PSG, to congratulate him after the final, but only did so the following day.
