MJ Kamson-Kamara joins Hearts as an aggressive defender from Lincoln City, eager to learn and compete in Europe.
MJ Kamson-Kamara has said Hearts are getting an "aggressive", no-nonsense defender following his arrival from Lincoln City. The centre-back signed a pre-contract agreement in May and is now ready to start pre-season with the club. The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Glentoran in Northern Ireland, where he played 31 games and scored five goals, following a previous loan spell in England's lower leagues. “I like to call myself an aggressive defender, who loves to defend, to block the ball and who is just aggressive,” he told the Hearts website. "Lincoln have been good to me. They sent me out on loan from the age of 17, playing in non-professional teams, getting that experience in men's football, which I thought was very important instead of playing youth football. I learned a lot of lessons, I made mistakes. It's been crucial for my career so far. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone now. There are a lot of good players with good experience. I'm looking forward to learning from them and getting better and better. It will be great to go to Europe and play against big teams, with extraordinary fans and in huge stadiums.
