Coritiba sacks Sandro Forner after the defeat on his debut
After a defeat on their debut in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, Coritiba have sacked coach Sandro Forner and are looking for a replacement, with Eduardo Baptista the main candidate.
The Coritiba management, already active since last night, has started contact with several coaches after the 2-0 defeat in the debut of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B against Sampaio Corrêa. Eduardo Baptista, former coach of other teams, seems to be the preferred profile, as he represents a dream long pursued by the club. According to sources close to the company, he has already been contacted. Claudinei Oliveira, currently at the helm of Avaí, is also a name that teases the management, although he is currently under contract. Other names such as Fabiano Soares and Milton Mendes have been mentioned among the options. Meanwhile, next Tuesday, Tcheco will temporarily lead the team in the match against Atlético Goianiense. After the match, Coritiba will have a ten-day rest period before facing Criciúma at home on 27 April.
