Chelsea are interested in Real Madrid's Alvaro Carreras, who has shown impressive form. The player's current contract expires in 2031, making a transfer difficult.
According to AS, Chelsea are targeting Real Madrid left-back Alvaro Carreras. The Blues are reportedly interested in bringing the young Spanish talent to Stamford Bridge in this transfer market. The 23-year-old has enjoyed a good run of form with the Madrid club, having showcased a number of impressive performances in the left-wing position. Last season, Carreras made 40 appearances for Real Madrid, achieving 2 goals and 3 assists in all competitions. The young Spaniard is currently considered one of the best left-backs in La Liga, and it is no surprise that the Blues are aiming to sign him. However, his current contract with the Santiago Bernabeu expires in the summer of 2031, which could make it difficult for Chelsea to snatch him at a reduced price in this summer transfer window. Carreras is a defender who knows how to intervene decisively, is able to perceive danger and recover the ball for his team in his own half of the pitch. He also knows how to set up the game, making good passes. Furthermore, the Spanish talent is a good crosser and can create chances for his teammates, starting from the left wing. In conclusion, it would be wise for Chelsea to target a left-back with Carreras' characteristics in this transfer market.
