Real Madrid continues to strengthen its dominance off the pitch as well. After announcing the renewal of the sponsorship contract with Emirates, the Spanish club has formalized another strategic agreement of great importance: the continuation of the partnership with Adidas for a further eight years. The agreement consolidates one of the most iconic collaborations in the history of modern football. The relationship between Casa Blanca and the German brand has continued uninterruptedly since 1980, a bond that has accompanied some of the most successful pages of the Madrid club, including eight Champions Leagues won during the Adidas era. The renewal was also celebrated by president Florentino Pérez, recently re-elected at the helm of the club. The Real Madrid number one underlined the historical and symbolic value of the agreement: "This contract that we sign today is the most important in the history of football. The strategic alliance between Real Madrid and Adidas has allowed us, over these decades, to experience one of the most extraordinary phases of our history and to fuel the spirit of Madridism throughout the world." Bjørn Gulden, CEO of Adidas, is also on the same line, calling the collaboration "one of the longest-running and most successful in world sport", highlighting the solidity of a relationship that continues to grow after more than four decades.
