On the eve of the match against Bournemouth, Ruben Amorim, Milan coach, released some statements on expectations for the Europa League match. The coach underlined that the players' self-confidence increases significantly after a victory: "When you win you are more confident and you go to training with more peace of mind and in a better mood. I want my players not to be happy when we don't win. They are also confident because of how we play."
Amorim then spoke about the upcoming match with the English team, fearing a higher level of competition than that shown in the previous match against Salzburg: "Against the English there will be more quality one-on-one. I know that the level will be high, I have played here and I know them. It will be a match at a different level than the one against Salzburg".
As for Cissè, Amorim confirmed that the young striker will play, despite currently being at 50% of his potential: "Cissè? He's at 50% of his potential, that's how I see it. Camarda is also working hard, even if you can't see it because he doesn't play much. Cissè will play and will still have the opportunity to prove it."
Amorim's choices for the match include Maignan leading the back four, made up of Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic and Estupinan. In the midfield, the Musah-Jashari pair will guarantee strength and dynamism. On the attacking midfield, the trio Hutchinson, Loftus-Cheek and Moreira will bring imagination and speed. In attack, Cissè will be the offensive terminal, in the absence of Ramos, taking advantage of his current form to undermine the opposing defensive lines.
On the other hand, Marco Rose, Bournemouth manager, expressed his enthusiasm for the match against a prestigious club like Milan: "It's still a dream to challenge them, Milan is a huge club, we will try to give our best especially for the fans. The Premier League is special, it is the best in the world, there is immense quality, you have to be very strong and fight every match even just for one point. Smaller clubs like us are really put to the test, looking at tomorrow we are confident, we have achieved two wins out of two and we want to do the same thing against Milan."
What happens now
Milan is preparing for a challenging match against Bournemouth, where the quality of the game will be fundamental to obtain a positive result. Amorim will have to carefully monitor the performances of Cissè and other key players, such as Maignan and Musah, to ensure a performance that lives up to expectations. The team will try to capitalize on the self-confidence deriving from a previous victory to better face this challenge in the Europa League.
