Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado is once again in the sights of Saudi football, with Al-Nassr considering him part of their plans to strengthen their midfield this summer. The Saudi Pro League club are preparing for a major midfield revamp following the expected departure of veteran Marcelo Brozovic. Replacing a player of his experience and influence is seen as a priority, and the club's directors are now evaluating several options capable of filling this void ahead of the new season. Brozovic's exit would leave a big void in the Al-Nassr roster, both in terms of quality and leadership. However, he is not the only player under consideration, as the report states that Al-Nassr are also tracking Moroccan Azzedine Ounahi, who impressed during his time with Girona. This is not the first time Saudi clubs have been linked with the Barcelona midfielder. Indeed, interest in Casado has resurfaced repeatedly in recent months, especially with Al-Hilal, as part of the deal for Joao Cancelo. Despite the speculation, neither Casado nor those around him have shown signs of pushing for a departure. However, it is said that if they were to open the door to a move to Saudi Arabia, Casado would prefer to play alongside former Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez rather than for Al-Hilal.

While Casado remains highly rated within the club, Barcelona's midfield situation is becoming increasingly crowded under the leadership of Hansi Flick. The German coach has several established options at his disposal as the sporting department continues to explore ways to balance the squad and improve the club's financial position. Here the situation becomes interesting.
